Heidenheim lavish more praise on red-hot Wanner: "One of German football's greatest talents."

After the 18-year-old once again proved a decisive factor in last night's UECL playoff match, it was 1. FC Heidenheim CEO Holger Sanwald's turn to gush over Bayern loanee Paul Wanner.

Wanner has now come off the bench to score in all three of his FCH appearances, registering a goal in all three of Heidenheim's competitions this year.

FC Bayern München loanee Paul Wanner continues to enjoy a dream start for his loan club 1. FC Heidenheim. The 18-year-old led Frank Schmidt's Albogen club to victory over Conference League playoff opponents BK Häken last night, scoring the game-winning goal for the second consecutive FCH match. The German-Austrian has now netted a goal in all three (league, Conference League, and domestic cup) of Heidenheim's competitions this season.

"We didn't know that he would do things like this at the age of 18," FCH club CEO Holger Sanwald gushed in an interview with Germany's "Südwest Rundfunk" (SWR) afterwards, "Of course. I'm so happy and think he's one of the greatest talents we have in German football.”

"This is a very hard-working, modest boy from a top family who is incredibly ambitious and plans his next steps very carefully and thoughtfully," Sanwald continued, "Whether at Bayern or Elversberg, he's impressed me immensely."
