With the DfL Supercup against Bayern Munich on the horizon, VfB Stuttgart are sweating over the fitness of Angelo Stiller.
Head coach Sebastian Hoeneß remained somewhat tight-lipped regarding the progress made on the midfielder's ankle injury.
“He's feeling better; the initial shock [after he sustained the injury] has been somewhat put into perspective.
"It's a minor issue with the ligaments, but not so much that we have to rule him out of the Supercup game.
“Nevertheless, it's going to be tight. We are taking it day by day,” explained Hoeneß, with an eye towards the showpiece on August 16.
The Swabian club announced the news that the 24-year-old sustained a partial ligament tear in his left ankle last Thursday, July 31.
