Denmark coach Brian Riemer has confirmed that Albert Grønbæk picked up an injury in Thursday’s 3-2 defeat to Norway.
“He’s injured and will leave the camp,” Riemer told Danish outlet Bold.dk.
Grønbæk, who was seen with tape around his thigh after the final whistle, will now return to his club, Hamburger SV, for treatment, with a more precise diagnosis expected in the coming days.
The 25-year-old Denmark international has scored two goals and provided two assists in five games for HSV so far this season.
