Borussia Dortmund winger Donyell Malen wants to leave the club next summer at the latest, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.

A January move is even possible if the 25-year-old can find an interested club in the English Premier League, where he wants to continue his career, according to the local publication.

The fact that Malen has changed agencies twice in the last year suggests that he's been looking for a way out of Dortmund for some time, but without success.

An article in Sport Bild on Wednesday also reported on Malen's possible departure from Dortmund, naming him as one of the players the club are looking to offload.

With Malen's contract expiring in 2026, it makes sense for the club to try to sell him this summer rather than risk losing him for free.

However, it's highly doubtful that BVB will be able to recoup the €30 million they paid to sign him from PSV in 2021.

Malen has scored three goals and provided one assist in 11 competitive matches this season.
