Jonathan Tah praises “special” Harry Kane

In an exclusive interview with Bundesliga, FC Bayern center-back Jonathan Tah spoke about Manuel Neuer and Harry Kane. The shot-stopper could end his professional career at the end of the season, while the England captain is vying for his first Ballon d’Or triumph.

“In the end, it's his decision on what he wants to do,” the 30-year-old defender commented on the future of the legendary goalkeeper in an interview with Bundesliga. “You always say that you play like it was your last season. So we should focus on that and enjoy every training session and game.

“If it happens to be his (Neuer’s) last season, then, OK, it's his decision. If not, we’ll still enjoy it as much. I think that's the approach you should always have, because you never know when it's your last season. I could get injured. I hope not, but it could be my last season. So that's why I always enjoy every moment. And, yes, I give everything like it’s the last one.”

Tah also spoke at length about the Golden Shoe winner Kane as the striker his teammate called “H” will accept his award next week in an event at the FC Bayern Museum. “It’s a well-deserved achievement. H (Kane) has been so important for this group as a player and a leader.

“He did such an amazing job, and he deserved this trophy (Golden Shoe) so much. With his qualities, it's really nice to play with a player like this, and also to see what kind of person he is. This combination is really something special.”

Tah went on to praise the continuing excellence of Kane and fellow attacker Michael Olise. “They always work on themselves. They're never satisfied. You always see them working on something even after training. They are as professional as possible, including in private life. I think it's so important. That's why they're on this level, and that's why they're going to stay on this level.”
