Kane passed fit to face Finland
Bayern Munich star Harry Kane is set to make his return from injury when England take on Finalnd in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday.
Kane missed England's disappointing 2-1 defeat to Greece on Thursday after picking up a knock in Bayern Munich's 3-3 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt last week.
But after returning to full training, he's fit to face Finland on Sunday, England interim manager Lee Carsley confirmed on the eve of the game.
“We trained yesterday and Harry [Kane] and Jack [Grealish] both got through the session so we’re in a good position,” Carsley said at a press conference.
“I think it’s important we freshen the team up a little bit but we feel confident we are in a good place," he added.
Carsley made the bold decision to play without a striker against Greece, but said he plans to be more “conventional” against Finland, with Kane expected to lead the line.
"It’s important that we do try something different at times and I think I’ll be a better coach for that but I think we’ll be a bit more conventional tomorrow night."
Kane scored a brace against Finland just over a month ago on his 100th appearance for England.
