1. FC Köln are considering activating a purchase option to sign Jahmai Simpson-Pusey permanently from Manchester City, according to both Bild and Kicker.

Kicker reports that the purchase option is in the mid single-digit millions, while Bild puts the figure at around €8 million.

Simpson-Pusey himself is said to be open to a permanent move to Köln, having made 10 appearances for the Billy Goats since joining on loan in January.

Should the 20-year-old defender complete a permanent switch to Köln, Manchester City would retain a buy-back clause.

Whether Köln ultimately trigger the option may, among other things, depend on whether the club generate a significant fee from the sale of 19-year-old Said El Mala, who has been linked with a move to England.
