Despite having reached a verbal agreement with Said El Mala, Brighton & Hove Albion may now cool their interest in the 19-year-old 1. FC Köln winger.

According to Sport Bild, Köln have set a €50 million price tag for El Mala, but Brighton are reportedly unwilling to pay more than €35 million plus bonuses.

Even if Brighton don't increase their offer, a move to the Premier League could still be possible for El Mala, with Chelsea reportedly willing to offer €45 million to bring the German youngster to England.

El Mala is currently represented by his parents, but Sport Bild reports that the family have held preliminary talks with an experienced agent to potentially lead new negotiations.

The 19-year-old most recently scored the opener for Germany U21 in their 2-0 win over Greece on Tuesday.
