Joshua Kimmich has been at the centre of a debate during the international break, with some suggesting that the Bayern Munich star should no longer be a guaranteed starter for Germany.
Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany, however, is taking the discussion with a grain of salt and isn't worried that it will impact Kimmich's performances.
“I often try to stay out of these mini-debates because that’s all they are: mini-debates,” Kompany told Sky and RTL.
“And no, I’m not influenced by what happens with the national team. I think it’s the other way around – the national team is influenced by what happens at the club.”
Bayern Munich will return to action away against Augsburg this Saturday.
