Update (October 23, 18:35 CET): Bayern Munich have now issued an official statement on Vincent Kompany’s condition.

Vincent Kompany was taken to a Munich ambulance after he collapsed at the end of Bayern's training session at Säbener Straße on Friday.

According to Sky Germany, the Belgian coach is in stable condition. A rescue helicopter landed at the training ground to immediately take him to the hospital, the German broadcaster reports.

The Belgian missed the pre-match press conference for the Champions League duel with Arsenal, but he led his team from the dugout normally after having to sit through the entire 90 minutes against RB Leipzig.

Sky added that Kompany had already felt pain in his legs before the match against Arsenal due to a virus and the resulting hip problems.
