RB Leipzig claimed their second win of the Bundesliga season with a 1-0 victory over Mainz at the weekend.

But the result came at a cost for Ole Werner’s side, as two key players picked up injuries.

The club have confirmed that Antonio Nusa suffered a fractured forearm during the game.

The Norway international will undergo surgery and is ruled out of the upcoming match against 1. FC Köln. The length of his absence will depend on the recovery process.

Xaver Schlager will also be out indefinitely after sustaining a calf muscle injury in the same game.

Leipzig currently sit seventh in the Bundesliga table with six points from their first three matches.
