After weeks of continued speculation, a transfer for Ernest Poku away from Bayer Leverkusen is seemingly imminent.
According to multiple Turkish outlets, Süper Lig side Beşiktaş has intervened in negotiations and will sign the 22-year-old speedster.
Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that Poku is scheduled to fly to Istanbul tomorrow to undergo a medical examination.
Among others, A Spor and Ertan Süzgün report that the Istanbul club has already reached an agreement with the player's representatives.
Beşiktaş intends to sign Poku on loan with an option to buy and under certain conditions, they could be obliged to buy him next summer.
If Poku joins permanently after the loan, the Hamburg native would be under contract with Besiktas for another four years.
The Netherlands winger will cost Beşiktaş around €3million on loan, while the purchase option is expected to be €20million.
Such an agreement already existed with Serie A side Fiorentina, however, the player changed his mind at the last minute.
Poku played a key role under Kasper Hjulmand last season, but it appears the arrival of Alfonso Moreira has forced his departure.
