After having an opening offer worth around €100 million for Yan Diomande rejected by RB Leipzig, Liverpool are reportedly set to make a second bid for the winger.

Time will tell whether the two clubs can reach an agreement, but Liverpool are apparently already preparing for the scenario in which they don't.

According to talkSPORT, the Reds have drawn up a list of alternatives, which includes 1. FC Köln’s Said El Mala, Brighton & Hove Albion’s Yankuba Minteh and Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo.

El Mala would be a significantly cheaper option than Diomande, with a fee of around €50 million believed to be enough to convince Köln to sell the 19-year-old.

Köln were willing to accept that figure from Brentford earlier in the summer, but the move didn't materialise as El Mala opted against the transfer.
