El Mala departs German national team to join U-21 setup for Georgia clash

The Köln youngster has joined up with Antonio Di Salvo's squad for the upcoming game against Georgia.

Said El Mala has left the senior national team's camp and joined the U-21s ahead of their game against Georgia on Tuesday. 

This measure was planned beforehand in the build-up to the international break and is not intended as a punishment. 

Nagelsmann wanted to have El Mala for a few days in training in order to get a first impression on the 1.FC Köln talent. 

Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger reported the news this afternoon and stated El Mala left a positive impression on Nagelsmann. 

The U-21 team crucially trail Greece in Group F by three points after four games and El Mala brings much needed firepower to the ranks.
