Matthijs de Ligt has long been linked with a move to Manchester United, with the player reportedly keen to reunite with Erik ten Hag, under whom he played at Ajax.

However, a deal has yet to be reached between Bayern Munich and Manchester United, and it doesn't look like that will change unless the Bavarians lower their transfer fee demands.

According to Sky Germany, Manchester United don't want to spend the €50 million plus add-ons that Bayern are currently demanding for de Ligt.

The Red Devils have prioritized a move for Lille's Leny Yoro and have reportedly had a €50 million bid accepted by the French club, with the player set to travel to England for a medical.

De Ligt joined Bayern from Juventus for a reported €67 million fee back in 2022.
