Nordi Mukiele would like to remain a Bayer Leverkusen player beyond summer, according to Kicker.

The 27-year-old on loan from Paris St.Germain emphasised how much he is enjoying his time under Xabi Alonso.

“I just think about giving everything for this club, in every game, in every training session.

“For everything they have given me since my first day I have been here. We’ll see what happens, but I am very grateful.

“I hope it continues like this into the future. When I am happy, I play well,” the French defender explained.

Mukiele’s contract in the French capital runs until 2027, but Leverkusen could possibly agree a purchase fee in the low double-digit millions.
