Having joined Bayer Leverkusen from RC Strasbourg for a reported €30 million fee on deadline day, Guéla Doué will have to wait a little longer to make his debut for his new club.
As Bayer Leverkusen head coach Carles Martinez revealed at a press conference on Friday, the 23-year-old defender will miss Saturday's Bundesliga clash against 1. FC Union Berlin due to an injury.
“Doué has a minor problem. He's not ready to be part of the squad tomorrow,” Martinez revealed.
However, there are no signs of a lengthy absence, with the Spanish coach expecting Doué to be back in contention as early as next week.
