Fantasy Bundesliga: 10 players to consider for Matchday 12
Here are 10 players you should consider bringing into your Fantasy Bundesliga team for Matchday 12.
In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we will not be focusing on the most obvious picks such as Joshua Kimmich and Robert Lewandowski.
Instead, we will highlight players with a maximum ownership percentage of 15%, who could offer great value as differentials for Matchday 12.
Aaron Martin, Mainz (Defender, 3.1M, 1%)
Having started Mainz's last four games in all competitions at the left wing-back position. His low price, set piece potential and general attacking prowess make him an enticing option.
Paulo Otavio, Wolfsburg (Defender, 10.6M, 1%)
The 26-year-old proved his worth last season, picking up an average of eight points per game, and has once again emerged on the radar of Fantasy Bundesliga managers following the appointment of Florian Kohfeldt as Wolfsburg coach. Playing as a left wing-back, he most recently scored 15 points in his side's 1-0 win over Augsburg on Matchday 11.
Raphael Guerreiro, Dortmund (Defender, 14.6M, 12%)
Dortmund will be boosted by the return of attacking full-back Raphael Guerreiro when they take on Stuttgart this Saturday. The Portuguese international has scored a whopping 10 points per game on average this season, with the only concern being that he might need a bit of time to get up to full speed after his injury lay-off.
Amine Adli, Leverkusen (Midfielder, 8M, 0%)
With Patrik Schick and Lucas Alario both struggling with injuries, Adli has been tipped to start up front against Bochum. Although he is yet to score or assist in the Bundesliga, the 21-year-old has been directly involved in goals in the Europa League and DFB-Pokal, and with an ownership percentage of 0%, he could be a great differential.
Florian Kainz, FC Köln (Midfielder, 8.4M, 9%)
Kainz has been very consistent this season, producing a point haul of 8 per game on average. His price is fairly low considering his output and the fact that Köln have a quite favorable run of fixtures.
Jonas Hofmann, Gladbach (Midfielder, 13.7M, 9%)
Hofmann has picked up a total of 95 points – more than any other Gladbach player – making him hard to overlook as 'Die Fohlen' take on bottom-placed Greuther Fürth at home.
Jonathan Burkardt, Mainz (Striker, 7.2M, 2%)
With 49 points to his name in his last three games, Burkardt was one of the league's most in-form players before the international break, and he will look to pick up where he left off against a Köln side, who are yet to keep a clean sheet this season.
Anthony Modeste, FC Köln (Striker, 8.4M, 9%)
Another in-form striker, Modeste bagged a brace against Union Berlin on Matchday 11, taking his goal tally to eight for the season. Another plus is that, as previously mentioned, Köln have a nice run of fixtures.
Alassane Pléa, Gladbach (Striker, 13.6M, 1%)
Taking his 16 point-haul against Bochum on Matchday 10 out of account, Pléa has yet to get really going this season. But since he looks set to start up top against crisis-hit Greuther Fürth, the 28-year-old is surely an option worth considering.
Thomas Müller, Bayern (Striker, 17M, 14%)
Müller's fantastic Fantasy output is often overlooked because he's playing alongside Lewandowski, with many Fantasy Bundesliga managers concerned about doubling up on Bayern in attack. That's a shame, because Müller is proving again and again that he is one of the most reliable Fantasy assets in the game. The Germany veteran has scored a total of 120 points this season, which is only second to Lewandowski (145), and there's no reason why he shouldn't continue in the same fashion. Looking at last season, he was the third-highest scoring player in the game, only behind Lewandowski and André Silva.
