Hertha Updates: New rumors involving Kempf, Dardai, and Demirovic surface

Hertha BSC may be on the verge of pulling the trigger on multiple transactions, according to a range of different sources

New incoming links include defender mark Marc Oliver Kempf of Stuttgart and striker Ermedin Demirovic of Freiburg.

The capital city side may also be preparing to ship young defender Marton Dardai out on loan.

Club sporting CEO Fredi Bobic hinted that some deals were just around the corner in his pre-match interview at last night's Pokal match.
German footballing magazine Kicker currently reports on a pair of rumors involving the Bundesliga's Charlottenburg capital city side. VfB Stuttgart defender Marc Oliver Kempf's impending switch to "die alte Dame" certainly isn't new news. The 26-year-old former German youth international is expected to join Hertha on a free after his contract expires this summer.

There are fresh rumors that a deal might done in the current January transfer window. Much of this has been fueled by the fact that head-coach Pellegrino Matarazzo left Kempf off his bench squad in the weekend match against Leipzig. Speaking to reporters after the loss, Matarazzo conceded that exists "some ambiguity regarding his contract situation".

With one defender potentially coming in, Kicker Magazine also reports on a potential departure from the defensive ranks. Marton Dardai, the son of former Hertha trainer Pal Dardai, hasn't been used at all by new head-coach Tayfun Korkut. According to the footballing journal, FC Basel is interested in bringing the 19-year-old in on lion. The Swiss club recently secured FC Köln defender Noah Katterbach on a similar short term arrangement.

Kicker has nothing to say yet on a rumor cropping up in tabloid Sport Bild that claims Fredi Bobic and the front office are targeting SC Freiburg striker Ermedin Demirovic to bolster their attacking cops. The move would make sense as the 23-year-old Bosnian is experiencing a rather disappointing season in Breisgau. Lucas Höler and youngster Kevin Schade have effectively taken his starting position.

Sport Bild reports that Hertha are currently exploring the possibility of a loan with a purchase clause.
