Adams hails "special" Nkunku after Leipzig win over Bochum
As so many time before this season, Christopher Nkunku made the difference for RB Leipzig as he came on to score their winning goal against Bochum. Speaking after the game, Tyler Adams hailed the 24-year-old.
RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams lavished praise on teammate Christopher Nkunku following today's hard-fought 1-0 win over Bochum away from home.
Nkunku was handed a rest from the starting line-up, but came on just shy of the hour mark and eventually scored the winner, taking his goal tally for the season to 23 in all competitions.
"Our goal was really well played out," said Adams, who was substituted off in the second half.
"'Benny' [Henrichs] played a perfect pass for Christo, and that guy is just special. As soon as he got the ball I knew he was going to score. I'm pleased for him and for us as a team," added the 23-year-old.
"It was a very difficult game, definitely not the prettiest and it wasn't our best performance of the season, either. It's very important that we've taken three points here," he summed up.
