Graham Potter asserts that Pascal Groß shall remain with Brighton

By Peter Weis   @PeterVicey

Reports emerging earlier in the day concerning a switch to Bremen for Bundesliga veteran Pascal Groß are apparently false.

Albion head-coach Graham Potter noted that the 30-year-old is actually close to signing a contract extension with his current EPL club.

Premiership side Brighton & Hove Albion have announced that 30-year-old German midfielder Pascal Groß is actually about to extend his contract with the Seagulls. This contradicts a report emerging early in the day from 90min.de suggesting that the former Karlsruhe academy man was headed back to Germany.

The one-time FC Ingolstadt mainstay had long been linked with a return to the Bundesliga. There were nevertheless plenty of contravening reports out there suggesting that the talks stalled and were possibly abandoned.

The southern English side noted on its own social media feed Friday evening that Groß would be making a renewed commitment to his current club. Albion trainer Graham Potter divulged this information at a press conference.
