With one year remaining on his contract, Lewandowski has made it clear that he wants to move on as he targets a move to FC Barcelona, but the Bayern bosses have emphasized numerous times that they want the 33-year-old to fulfill his contract.

Zahavi, however, would advise Bayern to grant Lewandowski his wish, stating that the striker can't see himself staying.

"Of course they can keep Robert for another year, to be fair he has a contract until 2023, but I would not recommend that to them. For Robert Lewandowski, FC Bayern is history," said Zahavi, who reiterated his previous statement that the club did not make his client a contract proposal.

"He hasn't felt respected by the club bosses for months. That is the truth. FC Bayern has not lost the player Lewandowski, but the person Robert."

The reason is said to be that Bayern made efforts to sign Erling Haaland, who ultimately moved to Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund.

According to Bild and Kicker, Barcelona have made a first bid of €32 million for Lewandowski.
