Wagner: 'We have the best team in Germany by far'

Sandro Wagner remains confident Bayern München will win the Bundesliga again.
After the 2-3 loss to league leaders Borussia Dortmund last Saturday, Bayern München are just sitting fifth in the Bundesliga table and are seven points behind the BVB.

Still, Bayern München striker Sandro Wagner believes the Bavarians will win the title as he claims their quality simply can't be matched by any other team in Germany.

"It's brutal to look at the table. We are fifth. That can't be what is expected from FC Bayern and what we expect from ourselves," Wagner told Kicker and added:

"We have to become German champions this season. Especially with this team. We have by the best team in Germany by far," Wagner told Kicker and added that "a few good games" from Dortmund can't change that.

"Even if they counter-attack on their mopeds, I still don't see them as the best team," Wagner said.

Wagner also lamented that his teammate James Rodriguez will be sidelined for weeks after picking up an injury.

"He is important, and in my opinion the best player. He has a creative mind, and no other in the team has these qualities. There isn't other players in the Bundesliga like him."
