Hungary vs Germany preview: Team news and predicted lineups

Our preview and predicted lineups for Saturday's UEFA Nations League clash between Hungary and Germany.
After drawing 1-1 against Italy and England in the first two games of their UEFA Nations League campaign, Germany will be aiming to return to winning ways against Hungary in Budapest on Saturday evening.

At the pre-match press conference, Germany coach Hansi Flick hinted that he's not planning to make too many changes to the side that came close to beating England three days ago.

"I think it's good when you're well attuned. Of course, you want to give everyone a chance to play. On the other hand, the result is in the foreground and in focus," said the Germany coach.

Flick didn't want to give too much away with regard to his starting line-up, but did confirm that Manuel Neuer will remain in goal.

"Manuel Neuer will play. There won't be a change in goal," he emphasized.

One of the players who could force his way into the team is Chelsea forward Timo Werner, who came off the bench in the second half against England.

"It's quite possible that he will play from the start. He can help us with his pace and score goals," stated Flick.

Germany will definitely have to manage without Marco Reus, who has been forced to pull out of the squad due to a muscle fiber tear, while Flick will make a late decision on Serge Gnabry.

"Serge Gnabry is a doubt. He has calf issues. We won't make a decision on his involvement for the time being," revealed the Germany coach today.
