Yann Sommer linked with Manchester United

Yann Sommer has reportedly attracted interest from Manchester United.
Manchester United are interested in Gladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer, according to Swiss newspaper Blick.

According to the report, Sommer is being discussed internally at the Premier League club, with 'The Red Devils' on the lookout for a goalkeeper to compete with David De Gea.

However, it's doubtful that the Swiss international would want to leave Gladbach and jeopardize his chances of first team football ahead of the World Cup in Qatar in November.

Earlier this summer, he was linked with a move to OGC Nice, but ultimately decided to turn down the French club's advances.

Sommer is under contract with Gladbach until 2023 and is said to be stalling on a new three-year deal with 'Die Fohlen'

He recently told Bild:

"I'm having very open talks with the club right now. I admit that I needed a lot of time to process the past season and to think about everything that happened. Everyone was unhappy, there was a lot of criticism. And now, of course, a lot of rumors.

"What I can say quite clearly is that as long as I'm here, I'm here 100 percent."
