Per Sport1, Leverkusen could not convince Thomas Tuchel to become their head coach, but do have a plan in place if Gerardo Seoane is fired.

When asked about a possible coaching change, Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro piled more pressure on Gerardo Seoane by stating that, "We are not unprepared!"

According to Sport1's chief reporter Patrick Berger, Leverkusen have contacted Thomas Tuchel about the position, but he is reportedly not interested in the role.

Leverkusen shockingly sit 17th in the Bundesliga through Matchday 8 with only one league win on the season. Seoane's Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid before the international break looks to be the only reason why he still has a job.

This is Seoane's make-or-break week with games against Porto and Schalke.
