Cordova's loan club Real Salt Lake, which retained the right of first refusal for the player, will also receive around €185,000 and a draft pick from the Canadian club. "Sergio Córdova signaled early on that he would like to continue playing in MLS," FCA sporting director Stefan Reuter remarked in a statement, "After we were able to sign a lot of quality attackers this winter, we wanted to give him this chance in Vancouver, especially since the economic conditions of the move also fit for us. We wish Sergio Córdova every success for the future in the MLS and all the best personally."
