RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche has confirmed that Robin Koch will not be joining the club from Freiburg before the transfer deadline.

Krösche admits that 'Die Roten Bullen' were in fact interested in the German international, but the involved parties couldn't come to an agreement.

"Robin Koch was an option for us, but we weren't able to reach an agreement. Robin would have fit in well with us," Krösche told Sky and added that RB Leipzig could 'possibly' still get something over the line before the transfer window closes later today.

According to reports, RB Leipzig were willing to pay €15 million for Koch, but Freiburg demanded €20 million for him.
