RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann has praised Dani Olmo after the 22-year-old played 90 minutes in Sunday's 5-0 victory over Mainz.

Olmo is still finding his feet in Germany following his €19 million move from Dinamo Zagreb in January, but it's clear to Nagelsmann that the Spaniard is an "outstanding footballer".

"The Bundesliga has a higher pace than the Croatian league, so it takes some time to adjust physically. But he was extremely hard-working, won the ball a lot of times and defended very robustly," Nagelsmann said in the wake of the game on Sunday, according to RBLive.de.

"He has exceptional abilities and is very safe with the ball. When he gets put under pressure, he knows how to provoke a foul," he added.

Dani Olmo has played six games for RB Leipzig so far with a goal and an assist to his name.
