Dortmund boss Michael Zorc confirms departure of Achraf Hakimi

BVB boss Michael Zorc has confirmed that Achraf Hakimi will be leaving the club at the end of this loan spell.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has confirmed that Achraf Hakimi will be leaving the club.

The 21-year-old, who has been on loan from Real Madrid for the last two seasons, is understood to be on the verge of joining Inter in a deal worth around €40 million.

While Dortmund are eager to keep Hakimi at the club, they simply can't match the fee that Inter are willing to pay for the 21-year-old.

"We were hoping to be able to keep Achraf, but Real Madrid want to cash in as much as possible," Zorc told Sky and added:

"There has been a new development in the last few days. The sum in question will be higher.

"At some point, we realized that we didn't want to and couldn't go along with it."
