Joshua Zirkzee open to loan switch in January

Joshua Zirkzee, who has been touted for a move to FC Köln, says he would be open to heading out on loan in January.
Bayern München youngster Joshua Zirkzee would be open to moving out on loan in January in search of first-team action.

The 19-year-old striker came close to a loan move to Feyenoord during the summer transfer window, but ended up staying at Bayern.

FC Köln are now being linked with a loan swoop for Zirkzee, who would be willing to consider a move in January after being limited to just three league appearances so far this season.

"It's important that I play full games. I try to stay fit, and if I can head out on loan during the winter break, that might be an option," Zirkzee told Algemenen Dagblad.

Until then, the Dutch forward wants to keep learning from Robert Lewandowski in training.

"Robert is a complete striker. I think he is the best there is at the moment. He's excellent in every area," Zirkzee said and added:

"I try to absorb as much as I can of Lewandowski and combine it with my own game."
