Report: Union Berlin purchase Leon Dajaku outright from parent club

Multiple German media sources have reported that FC Bayern II prospect Leon Dajaku nears completion of a move to 1. FC Union Berlin in the last 24 hours.

The Berliner Köpenick club officially confirmed that a deal is near this afternoon. Club statements indicate that the Eisernen may be on the precipice of an outright purchase.
German footballing magazine Kicker reported that Union Berlin and FC Bayern München had concluded ongoing negotiations to bring Leon Dajaku to the Stadion An den der alten Försterei. The medical apparently takes place today in the club's headquarters in Berlin's Köpenick district.

FC Union managing director Oliver Ruhnert confirmed that the 19-year-old Kosovar is in Berlin completing his medical during a Saturday morning media round. Ruhnert also noted that an announcement should be forthcoming before the end of the day.

According to Kicker information, one possible reason for the protracted talks and delay of official confirmation from both clubs may be that Dajaku has actually been purchased by the FCU. Initial reports hinted at a long-term loan. Now the magazine says that Dajaku will be "signed."
