Flick hints that Zirkzee deal may have collapsed, Sarpreet Singh headed back to FC Bayern II

In remarks to the press after a Friday training session, FCB trainer Hans Dieter Flick appeared to suggest that the much-discussed loan of striker Joshua Zirzkzeee to FC Parma might have fallen through.

In other Bayern news, young attacking midfielder Sarpreet Singh is also on his way back to FC Bayern II after Nürnberg prematurely terminated his loan arrangement.

Very reliable transfer experts have treated the loan of disaffected Bayern striker Joshua Zirkzee to the Serie A as a done deal. While this very well may be so, head-coach Hansi Flick told the assembled press corps that he expected the Dutch youth prospect to participate in team training after the transfer window closes on Monday evening.

"I can only tell you that Joshua was here in training with us today and I believe that he'll be with us after the transfer deadline," Flick told the press corps. After a brief, if not somewhat grave pause, he added "There's nothing to announce. Quite open."

After the press conference, news broke that 1. FC Nürnberg had prematurely terminated their loan deal with 21-year-old offensive midfield specialist Sarpreet Singh. An official statement from "Der Klub" kept matters cordial, simply stating that the move made sense for all parties. Singh made 12 appearances for the FCN on a loan arrangement that was supposed to last until the summer.

Singh remains on many a football enthusiast's radar as, should his development proceed according to plan, he will be the first player of Indian descent to feature for a major European footballing club since Vikash Dhorasoo.
