Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Youssoufa Moukoko will not be able to play in the knockout stages of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship this summer.
The 16-year-old missed Germany's group stage games due to a ligament injury that is still troubling him.
"Youssoufa will not feature at the European Championship," Dortmund head of the licensed player department Sebastian Kehl confirmed to Ruhr Nachrichten.
"He will continue his recovery in Dortmund in peace and quiet, so he can be fully fit for our pre-season start."
Moukoko last featured in Dortmund's 2-2 draw against FC Köln on March 20.
