FC Köln edge closer to signing Mark Uth

Kicker claims Mark Uth is 'very likely' to join FC Köln from Schalke 04.

FC Köln are edging closer to the signing of Mark Uth from relegated Bundesliga side Schalke 04, according to Kicker.

The German football magazine claims that Uth is willing to lower his salary to join Köln on a free transfer.

"We have been in close exchange with Mark Uth's agent in recent weeks, and we have come very far," confirmed FC Köln CEO Alex Wehrle.

"We will continue to intensify our efforts. The players is interested in coming to 1. FC Köln."

Uth, 29, spent the second half of the 2019/20 season on loan at FC Köln, racking up five goals and six assists in 15 appearances for 'The Billy Goats'.

He still has one year left on his deal with Schalke 04.
