Schalke 04 are poised to complete their fifth signing of the summer, with the relegated Bundesliga side set to wrap up a deal for 24-year-old Thomas Ouwejan from AZ Alkmaar.
The left-back, who is also capable of playing as a winger, is on the verge of a move to the Gelsenkirchen side, according to Bild.
He spent last season on loan at Udinese, making 15 appearances with two assists to his name.
Schalke 04 have already brought in Danny Latza, Simon Terodde, Victor Palsson and Marcin Kaminski for the new season.
