Borussia Dortmund centre-back Dan-Axel Zagadou has revealed he still needs another 'two or three months' of recovery time before he will be able to make his return from the knee injury that has kept him out since March.

"I'm doing well. With regard to the injury, I still need two or three months before I can return," Zagadou told reporters on Monday.

"Since I have experience with injuries, this phase is now less difficult for me," he continued.

"I will take the time I need to get fit."

Due to various injuries, the French centre-back was limited to just 13 appearances for Dortmund last season.
