Manuel Neuer is currently sidelined with an ankle injury.
Bayern München captain Manuel Neuer is a doubt for Sunday's Bundesliga clash with FC Köln.
The 35-year-old was unable to train on Thursday after sustaining a capsule injury in his right ankle during Tuesday's 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Super Cup.
Should Neuer fail to recover in time for the Köln game, Sven Ulreich will start in his absence.
Ulreich featured a total of 70 times for Bayern between 2015 and 2020, at which point he joined Hamburger SV on a free transfer.
The former VfB Stuttgart goalkeeper returned to Allianz Arena ahead of this season as a replacement for Alexander Nübel, who left to join AS Monaco on a two-year loan deal.
