Premier League side Newcastle United and the Serie A club Atalanta have engaged in talks with Torunarigha's representatives, but no direct communication has been made with Hertha BSC regarding a transfer.
Update Torunarigha (@HerthaBSC): He is totally dissatisfied with his situation and wants to leave the club. @Atalanta_BC and @NUFC have contacted his management as well as some other teams from the Bundesliga. Everything is open. @SPORT1 #NUFC 📸: @Transfermarkt pic.twitter.com/bGaDO8BTHe

Torunarigha has been part of Hertha BSC since 2006 when he joined the youth academy from Chemnitzer, making 18 senior appearances for the capital city club. The German has been capped at U16, U18, U19, U20, and U21 level, and recently represented Germany at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Torunarigha has two years remaining on his current deal but has played just six minutes of football this season under Pal Dardai.
