Confirmed: Bayern send goalkeeper out on loan to Sunderland
Bayern München goalkeeper Ron-Thorben Hoffmann has officially joined Sunderland on loan for the rest of the season.
Bayern München have confirmed a deal that will see Ron-Thorben Hoffmann join English League One side Sunderland on a season-long loan deal.
Before jetting off to England, the 22-year-old goalkeeper extended his contract with the Bavarians by a further year until 2023.
"I'm looking to develop as a player and Sunderland gave me the best opportunity to do that," said Hoffmann after his arrival.
"It will be a special feeling to play in front of 30,000 supporters each week at the Stadium of Light."
