Official: Ex-Bayern defender Jerome Boateng joins Lyon

Former Bayern München defender Jerome Boateng has completed his move to Olympique Lyon on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old centre-back has signed a two-year deal with the French Ligue 1 side after his contract with Bayern expired at the end of last season.

Hertha, Monaco, Lazio and Sevilla were also linked with Boateng, who spent 10 years at Bayern, making a total of 363 appearances with 10 goals and 25 assists to his name.

Boateng has won 76 caps for Germany, but hasn't represented his country since October 2018.
