Konstantinos Karandrikas officially joined FC Bayern from Atromitos Athens on Monday. The 17-year-old Greek center-back penned a long-term contract, according to the Bavarians.

He will spend the upcoming season with the U19 team as they prepare for their first game of the season. FC Bayern U19 will start their season against Eintracht Stahnsdorf on Sunday in the first round of the youth DFB-Pokal

“Our scouts have observed Konstantinos over a longer period of time. He is an athletic centre-back with a good build-up game that will strengthen our squad in the U19s. We are pleased that we were able to commit him to our young talent, are convinced of his potential and look forward to his next steps with us.” said Bayern’s head of sport and junior development, Michael Wiesinger.
