Eintracht Frankfurt have officially announced Albert Riera as their new head coach to fill the void left by Dino Toppmöller.
Sky Germany reports Frankfurt are paying a fixed fee of €700,000 for the 43-year-old with up to €1million in potential bonuses on top.
Riera recently enjoyed success at Slovenian first division club NK Celje, leading them to the national cup title in his first year in charge.
This season, the club from the northeast of the country sits atop the table with a twelve-point lead over their nearest rivals.
Furthermore, under Riera's leadership, Celje even managed to reach the UEFA Conference League play-off round this campaign.
In his first head coaching position, Riera won the national double of league title and cup victory with Olimpija Ljubljana in 2023.
He also gained international coaching experience in the 2023-24 season with the traditional French club Girondins de Bordeaux.
In addition to the new head coach, two assistant coaches are joining Frankfurt in Pablo Remon Arteta and Lorenzo Dolcetti.
Both men previously worked successfully with Riera at NK Celje. Arteta holds a UEFA Pro License, while Dolcetti has a UEFA A License.
Assistant coach Jan Fießer and goalkeeper coach Jan Zimmermann will remain part of the Hessen club's coaching team.
