Official: Heidenheim sign Bayern youngster on loan

1. FC Heidenheim have signed Bayern Munich youth prospect Paul Wanner on loan for the upcoming season.

After spending the 2023/24 season on loan at Elversberg in the 2. Bundesliga, Bayern Munich youngster Paul Wanner is heading out on loan again, this time to FC Heidenheim.

Heidenheim confirmed the arrival of the 18-year-old attacker on a season-long loan on Monday.

"Paul is a very young, but exceptionally talented attacking player with enormous development potential," said FC Heidenheim CEO Holger Sanwald, adding:

"He was already a top performer for Elversberg in the second division last season and continued to draw attention to himself. We are all the more pleased that Paul has decided to join FCH and that this loan has come about thanks to a partnership solution between FC Bayern Munich and us.

“At the same time, we are convinced that Paul will take the next steps in his development with us in the Bundesliga next season and that all parties involved will ultimately benefit from this loan.”

Wanner said he's looking forward to the new challenge and hopes to help Heidenheim stay in the Bundesliga.

"I believe the move to the Bundesliga has come at the right time for me and I would like to thank FC Bayern and FCH for giving me the opportunity to prove this," he said.

Wanner scored six goals and provided three assists in 28 matches for Elversberg last season.
