After proving himself as interim coach between September and November, Eugen Polanski was given the job as Borussia Mönchengladbach coach on a permanent basis.
However, Gladbach are now struggling again, having failed to win any of their last six Bundesliga matches and most recently suffering a 3-0 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend.
The team’s poor form has raised questions about Polanski’s future, especially amid reported tensions between the 39-year-old and head of sport Rouven Schröder.
According to Bild, however, Polanski doesn't have to worry about his job for now, with the German tabloid reporting that even a loss to SC Freiburg on Sunday would not immediately put him at risk.
Still, another coaching change this season can't be completely ruled out, as pressure mounts on Polanski to steady the ship.
Gladbach currently sit 13th in the Bundesliga, just three points above Werder Bremen in the relegation playoff spot.
