European heavyweights Real Madrid, Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly vying for the signature of Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah, with a potential move on the cards next summer.
Quansah only joined Leverkusen from Liverpool in the summer of 2025, with the Reds retaining a €70 million buy-back option that must be exercised by June 15, 2027.
Asked by Bild about speculation surrounding his future, the England international remained coy.
“I just have to focus on playing this season. I want to play as many games as possible and try to improve. There’s nothing more I can do,” he said.
A natural centre-back, Quansah is regularly being deployed at right-back for both Leverkusen and England and says he's becoming increasingly comfortable in the role.
“Of course, it’s a good option for me. I joke about it a little. Over the past few years, I’ve discovered more about what I’m capable of, how I can influence the team going forward and what I can contribute in attacking areas. I’m still learning the role and how I can improve. It will only make me a better footballer,” he said.
The 23-year-old also reflected on Leverkusen’s impressive run of five consecutive wins in all competitions.
“We have a lot of momentum in our play. We are strong going forward, but we are also defending better now. There are plenty of things that give us confidence,” he said.
