Provided Yan Diomande's transfer to isn't finalized, Real Madrid will not be pursuing any further signings for the time being.

This also means that their pursuit of Manchester City's Rodri will have to wait a while longer before he can move to Madrid.

As reported by 'AS', Real Madrid has agreed to a five-year contract with Diomande, but some formalities are delaying the deal's completion.

In Madrid, the club's management had fully expected to finalize the transfer for the 19-year-old Ivorian at the beginning of the week.

Now, Rodri is the victim of this delay, after considerable persuasion was required in the boardroom to consider signing the Spaniard.

Initial contact with the Citizens was scheduled for yesterday, to explore their demands, but Los Blancos postponed the meeting.

While Carlos Espí was presented yesterday as a €25million signing, the Diomande deal remains a total priority for the Real Madrid bosses.
