Bayern Munich legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is anticipating an exciting game tomorrow against English champions Arsenal:

“It’s a classic. During my time as CEO, we played against them almost every year - and won almost every year,” he told TZ München.

"Last year, however, we lost 3-1 [to Arsenal], and that defeat was deserved. We need to make sure we win now.

“Especially after needlessly throwing away two points last week [in the 3-3 draw with Viking FK], but it won’t be easy,” Rummenigge added.

Regarding Michael Olise's suspension and Vincent Kompany's illness, Rummenigge hopes the duo's absence won't be a talking point.

"We’re missing one of our best player in Michael Olise. We also need to see whether the coach will be able to take his place on the bench.

"He’s been suffering from a virus since Saturday. Yesterday morning, he seemed to be feeling better, but his condition deteriorated somewhat as the day went on.

"Perhaps it would be better for him to take the time to recover fully. He is the driving force behind everything we do.

“He's [Kompany is] the architect of the success we’ve enjoyed so far,” said the former Bayern striker singing the Belgian's praises.
