Second source reinforces possibility of Bayern selling Alphonso Davies

The injury-ridden full-back has had a tough season and could be set to move on this summer as doubts grow over his availability for the Munich club.

After BILD chief journalist Christian Falk wrote almost a week ago that Alphonso Davies is no longer considered unsellable, a new report in the Abendzeitung reinforces this belief.

The Munich tabloid sees the full-back – who has been receiving €15million per annum since his contract extension – as a potential candidate for sale.

While Davies is working hard to make his return to the pitch after one of numerous recent injuries, the report states Bayern's focus is in the Canadian's field of expertise this summer.

It should be noted that the bosses of the German record champions are reportedly looking for reinforcements for both the right and left sides.

This is partly due to the fact that Raphaël Guerreiro's contract expires at the end of the season. Furthermore, Davies has been largely unavailable due to several recurring injuries.

However, no serious rumors about potential transfer targets for the left-back position have surfaced yet – Givairo Read of Feyenoord has long been linked with the Bavarians.

However, the young Dutchman is right-footed and feels most comfortable at right-back. The trail to Daniel Banjaqui has cooled, at least as of today.

Finally, there have been no concrete reports regarding Chelsea prospect Josh Acheampong since January – the young Englishman is also a right-back.
