Sky Sports report FC Augsburg ended negotiations with Crystal Palace for Chrislain Matsima as the clubs failed to reach an agreement. According to Sky’s Florian Plettenberg, the bonuses and payment structures could not be agreed after Crystal Palace refused to compromise.

The same source reported a transfer would be the most likely outcome a couple of days ago, but Augsburg now expect no more new offers from the Premier League club. The last offer was reportedly a little over €30 million after bonuses.

The Frenchman will now travel to Augsburg’s training camp to join their preparations for the upcoming season. Augsburg informed the player and his agent about their decision to end discussions.

Crystal Palace are dealing with the departure of ex-Wolfsburg center-back Maxence Lacroix to Chelsea. Matsima played in 48 Bundesliga games for the Bavarians since joining them from AS Monaco a couple of years ago.
